This page explains what data Cinemabaaz collects when you use cinemabaaz.in, why we collect it, and what control you have over it. It is maintained by the Cinemabaaz team.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, display name and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google shares with us.
- Viewing activity: which films you add to your library, your playback position so you can resume, and a record that a view took place for free screenings.
- Order records: what you rented or bought, the amount, the currency and the payment reference returned by our payment provider.
- Film submissions: the details and files you send us through the submit page, including your name, email, phone number, posters and cast or crew photographs.
What we do not store
We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN, CVV or bank credentials. Payments are handled entirely by Razorpay on their own systems; we only receive a payment reference and status.
Why we use it
To give you access to what you paid for, to resume playback where you left off, to tell filmmakers how many people watched their film, to prevent account sharing and piracy, to process submissions and payouts, and to answer your emails. We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising profiles on you.
Who we share it with
Only with the services that make Cinemabaaz work: our hosting and database provider, Mux for video playback, and Razorpay for payments. Aggregate figures such as total views for a film are shared with the filmmaker; individual viewer identities are not, except where the filmmaker is the rights holder and we have your consent.
Cookies and analytics
We use only what is necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your session. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Retention and your rights
We keep your account and viewing data while your account is active. Order and submission records are kept longer where tax or accounting rules require it. You can ask us to show you your data, correct it, or delete your account and viewing history at any time by writing to yatinmago@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.
Security
Data is stored on managed infrastructure with access rules that restrict every record to its owner, and video is served through signed, expiring playback links. No system is perfectly secure, so if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else, email us immediately.
